Let's jump way back in time, during an era where modern tech mixed with medieval style living. Sounds a bit like a steam punk era? You might be right.
In The Mentor's Forge you follow Thoren, a common citizen, and Dessuithiel, a princess.
Thoren is looking for something that ignites his passion of weapon wielding and gives his life purpose beyond the mundane day to day tasks. There's just one hitch, and that "hitch" may be what fate wants him to face.
Dessuithiel was born with a gift of foresight. Different from the Seer, she only sees bits and pieces of one's future upon contact, and has very little control over what she sees. Additionally, when touching others, the initiation of her visions causes a great deal of pain within her mind. She had resigned herself to a loveless life, but still hopes to find one she could love if fate will allow it. Betrothed to the son of the most powerful ethrean house, Dundaelon Valdan, Dessuithiel tries to accept it and the duty she has to her people while struggling with budding feelings for someone else she is naturally drawn to.
